Care Lab + Collective
Care Lab is a creative, interdisciplinary space for exploring what care is and what it can be. Through collaborative projects, initiatives, and hands-on workshops, Care Lab brings together people from across the arts, humanities, sciences, and health professions to experiment with new ways of understanding and practicing care in our daily lives. The opportunities for engagement you find here range from contributing to projects on various topics (for which you might draw and share stories about care experiences) to taking up initiatives (like creating care walks and writing letters) to participating in interactive workshops—all grounded in curiosity, creativity, and connection.
"Care Lab + Collective" acknowledges the growing network of collaborators whose participation constitutes the work of Care Lab: anyone who participates in a Care Lab project, initiative, or workshop. We are scholars, artists, practitioners, students, and community members who share an interest in reimagining care across different contexts. Your participation and support make the work of Care Lab possible. Whether you contribute art, ideas, or other resources, you help us reimagine what care can mean.
In a time when so much can feel fragile or uncertain, Care Lab is committed to fostering reflection on care as a way of building a broad, dynamic, and active community that reaches across disciplines, borders, and lived experiences. Though participation in Care Lab workshops, initiatives, and projects may offer moments of healing, connection, and creative practice that nurture resilience and comfort when the world feels overwhelming, nothing on this site constitutes professional medical, mental health, or therapeutic advice.
Care Lab is a creative and educational collective. We welcome everyone’s participation—whether through joining a workshop, participating in an initiative, or contributing to ongoing projects. Together, we can build a space that supports imaginative explorations of care and fosters possibilities for more care in the world.
